New PC spec

I'm looking at specifications for a new computer. I don't play games, but use my computer for digital photography and video editing. I've tried various configurations and arrived at the following. Total price is £1,571.

What do you think? Would you change anything?

Also, I intend to fit a TV card I already have (Hauppauge WinTV Nova S2 Plus). Will the PSU I've selected be sufficient, or should I look at the 850W version?

Hello Gary

Great spec and the PSU is fine at 750W. 850W would only be recommended if you were to add a second GPU.

Your TV card will fit into your computer without problems but I believe the GTX465 occupies 2 ports, so after your soundcard and TV card are fitted, there will be no more ports available and if you ever wanted to add a 2nd GTX 465 you would have the remove the TV card.

That's a bit of a pain! I don't think I'll ever want to fit another graphics card, but may well want to fit other cards during the life of the machine. Is the GTX 460 double height too, or could I save a slot by dropping down to that card?

One other question, too: I'm trying to keep the machine as quiet as possible. Do you think I'd see any benefit in having the Super Quiet 22dBA cooler, other the stock Intel one? I have no intention to OC.

Hi Gary,

I would go for the upgraded cooler if I were you. The stock cooler is good and realtively quiet during general use, but when you a push it a bit and temps rise the noise level does increase a bit.
