Hi, I cloned my main hard drive to my ssd and dropped the ssd while installing it into the PC. The machine is not displaying anything at all after the bios screen and I can't enter the bios either. It doesnt get to the windows loading screen, it just stops at a black screen.
I'm pretty certain the ssd died because I dropped it but I just wanted to know how to fix my system because the machine is not booting even with the ssd removed.

The fact that it is not booting when the ssd is not installed suggests that the problem lies elsewhere.
Try installing the ssd and all other drives and removing the small coin battery on the motherboard. After a few minutes put the battery back in and try booting the system.
Depending on the motherboard you may have a CMOS reset button on the rear io. If you do then just press and hold that button for a few seconds and try starting the system.
It's unlikely that the ssd has been damaged by the drop as they are less susceptible to shock damage than traditional hard drives.

Thanks mate. The battery removal seems to have fixed it. :) +rep
