personally for that type of money id go for the ASUS® P8Z68-V motherboard and get a cache drive aswell as swapping out the cavier green for a cavier black increasing the working speed of your pc dramatically.

Thanks for the suggestions but this takes me over budget by £150 so i was wondering what could i scale down that wont overly effect the performance.

drop the ram down to 8Gb you dont really need 16 most would suggest you only need 4 Gb but 8 should be perfect.

the 2700 k could be dropped to the 2600k still an amazing chip but its not brand spanking new like the 2700k.

nope not really unless you plan to use a rj45 cable for your internet(ethernet cable) you can drop the wireless pci card (cable is much better anyway) and if you dont need it you can drop the keyboard and get a razer keyboard for 35-65 quid depending on what model you want.

there or there about and in 12 months you can always buy a 2nd RADEON™ HD6970 and crossfire it greatly increasing gaming performance again

I have made a spec for you but it does not include any accessories but this is Much better for gaming and you will be able to max out absolutely anything but with the One 6970 Im not sure you can max out everything. it costs £1623

stick with the propesed spec you posted the cache drive will have a much better life than the 320 series ssd`s but i must say something i forgot if you do plan to add a 2nd gpu at a later date you would need a larger psu which is better to get now rather than buy one later as you will most likely have to rma it to get the psu fitted.
