Noisy fan even on very low RPM, temps are fine

Hello,

I have had my laptop for about 1 year with no issues, it is a Clevo W355SS (Optimus series) with a 4710HQ and a 860m.

Lately, my heat sink fan has been making very annoying noises, even on the lowest of RPM. I have investigated the issue, opened up the case and cleaned it all of all dust etc. Temperatures are not an issue, but the noise is, even on the lowest RPM settings. I believe it is due to a problem in the fan itself, most probably its axis. I would like to lubricate it, but it seems that access to the axis is impossible in this fan model. Is this true?

1) Could you tell me how and if it is possible to access the axis of the fan and add lubricant?

2) If it is not possible, how can I order a replacement?

I am attaching photos with the fan and the fan model.

It seems like a pretty standard fan. If you have it open like on the second picture you can grab to center and pull it of without much trouble. I think we used sewing-machine oil for fans, just a tiny drop is enough.

It feels like if I pull it as you describe I am going to break it. Usually you peel off the sticker and can lubricate the bearings right there, but this is not the case here.

Then I wouldn't go there. But looking at the pictures it is the only way to get the fan plastic fans of the magnet. But anyway, as Spyder says, rather have them send you a new fan and replace it then destroying something in your laptop :)
