I am looking to buy a pc in the coming days, and am agonising as to whether to go with the:

I wouldn't buy anything at the moment as new generation of components is just about to be released, and you'll get significantly more performance per £ with next gen.

Agree with the above. And I would personally never go for a prebuilt system, they tend to lack grunt in certain areas. The Odin, for example, comes with a 650W CX semi-modular PSU. It’s not the worst unit in the world but it’s going to be a limiting factor should you wish to upgrade your GPU in coming years.

If you absolutely have to order soon let us know and we’ll advise, but it’ll be worth the wait hanging on for the new releases.

Ah ok I didn't know that tbh!

Does that mean the current chipsets will come down or just the value of the new gen will be much better?

Sorry to be a novice but I would like to join the PC gaming world ASAP but want to get max value.

You'll get far more for your money on the new gen, and a lot of it is not backwards compatible, so if you were to buy current gen, you wouldn't be able to upgrade to it without upgrading the entire platform which is essentially a new pc.

HI @SpyderTracks, I have the exact same questions. Has the next gen been released yet?
When you say next-gen components, are you referring to processors, GPU, motherboards, or all?
If you could give me a bit more info so I can research this by myself, it would be very helpful!
Thanks in advance :)
