I have just ordered the Optimus 3 15.6", I needed this laptop for college work I do Hnd Internet and Networking technologies and I like to do a spot of gaming every now and then.

I would also like to add a question does this come standard with the mounting brackets for hard drive number 2?
If not where may I purchase this as it is not in the spare for your orders.

My specs are as follows and I will leave notes on why I got certain parts of it.

Chassis & Display
'Comes as standard but I'd like a 1080p screen as I have multiple windows open at a time.
Optimus Series: 15.6" Glossy Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)

Processor (CPU)
'I choose this because for my course we use alot of virtual machines and it allows me to future proof.
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-3610QM (2.30GHz) 6MB

Memory (RAM)
'I have my own corsair vengeance 8gb 1600mhz ddr3 dual channel sodimm stick which I will add in myself.
2GB SAMSUNG 1333MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (1 x 2GB)

Graphics Card
'This is for my avid spot of gaming as it runs only 100mhz slower than a gtx 660m which over clocking to that would not be hard.
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M - 1.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

Memory - 1st Hard Disk
'I will use this for storage as I have my own samsung 830 128gb ssd to use.
500GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD5000BPKT, SATA 3 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm)

1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
'It comes standard and I have no use for a bluray drive or a optical drive in general so did not upgrade.
8x SATA DVD±R/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)

Memory Card Reader
'Comes as standard
Internal 9 in 1 Card Reader (MMC/RSMMC/SD: Mini, XC & HC/MS: Pro & Duo)

Thermal Paste
'I have my own Arctic Silver MX-4 that I can replace this with while installing the ssd and ram.
STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING

Sound Card
'Comes as standard.
Intel 2 Channel High Definition Audio + MIC/Headphone Jack

Network Facilities
'My router is only 300mbps so it made sense to get this and not the 450mbps
GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® ADVANCED-N 6235 (300Mbps) + BLUETOOTH

USB Options
'Comes as standard.
2 x USB 3.0 PORTS + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT AS STANDARD

Battery
'I did not upgrade the battery as this should be suffice for me as I will normally be near a power socket
Optimus/Voyager Series 6 Cell Lithium-ION Battery (48.84WH)

Power Lead & Adaptor
'Comes as standard
1 x UK Power Lead & 120W AC Adaptor

Operating System
'My college is a msdn academy and supplies windows 7 pro and more free to computing students
NO OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIRED

Office Software
'Is not supported without os and I have no need for it.
NO OFFICE SOFTWARE

'^^
NO ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE

Keyboard & Mouse
'Comes as standard

Mouse
'^^
INTEGRATED 2 BUTTON TOUCHPAD MOUSE

Webcam
'^^
INTEGRATED 2.0 MEGAPIXEL WEBCAM

Warranty
'I feel if placing my own parts in I will void the warranty and if anything goes wrong while doing so then I know for sure the warranty is void so it would be useless upgrading this.
3 Year Standard Warranty (1 Year Collect & Return, 1 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour)

Delivery
'Comes as standard and not worth the extra money for anything else

Will I void my warranty if I open the case and install my own components?

Unlike with most computer manufacturers, we allow you to open the case and install your own components. Providing you install these correctly, and you do not damage your computer during or as a result of installing your own components, your warranty will still be valid. We do not provide any method of support for these components, both during installation or in use, and any warranty returns that are caused by your own components will be chargeable for both labour and return costs. If you have to return your computer to us for any reason we strongly recommend the prior removal of these components, as we cannot be held responsible for them.

Would still suggest the silver warranty as its only £5 more :), also laptops usually only come with an extra mounting bracket if they support it (My Viper III came with). The 15.6" Optimus does not have the option of replacing the CD drive with a HDD caddy within the options so it may not be possible to do so, would suggest contacting PC specialist about this as I may be wrong:

Meh I don't really care for warranty tbh and can't be bothered to change the order.

The Optimus 3 15.6" has 2 Internal hard drive slots but does not support the odd caddy.
