Optimus IV DVD drive not being recognised

Hi, I just received delivery of my Optimus IV last week. I've noticed that sometimes I get a little popup bubble from Intel Rapid Storage Technology in the tray saying that there is an error. My DVD drive then disappears from My Computer. I was able to use a Microsoft Fixit auto-corrector to find the DVD drive again, but recently even that hasn't been working. I also have tried restarting, which often helps solve the issue. Is there a permanent fix to this problem? Could the connection be loose or something?

On a side note, my power button is not very responsive. I have to really hold it down to get the laptop to turn on.

It just happened again. The message I received was "Disk on Port 2 Removed". I seem to notice this happening mostly when I move the computer, even slightly. Very frustrating, especially as I was in the middle of a DVD!!

As per instructions from PC Specialist, I unscrewed DVD drive from its mount next to the hard drive, removed it and then put it back in place. I'm still getting the Intel Rapid Storage alerts though. Any ideas?

When you spoke to PCS about the previous issue did they expect the fix would stop these alerts from re-occurring? Might be worth getting back in touch with them about it.
