Optimus V 13.3" BIOS Update / Warranty?

Just wondering what is the situation with regards to BIOS updates for this machine (or any machine I guess?)

I've noticed there are newer BIOS / EC files out there for this laptop.
The latest seems to be 1.00.05

Currently I am only running 1.00.02 or 1.00.03 I believe.

Do PCS provide BIOS updates or how does one go about updating their machine in an officially supported way?

Are there any issues with your laptop? I wouldn't suggest updating your BIOS unless you are experiencing an issue that requires a BIOS update. I don't think PCS will offer you a BIOS update unless you need one but for an official response you can contact PCS directly.

No known issues.
I have read the BIOS updates improve the fan consistency though. So that there are less full power blasts from the fan at random times.
I've had one or two BSOD while the machine went to sleep but hasn't happened in a while.

Was just wondering in general how BIOS updates are handled. Previously I owned a branded laptop where you went to the manufacturers site to download and apply them to your machine.
