Hi
I’m having to buy a new PC for general use, but also for enthusiast photo editing. No intention to play games. I currently use Adobe Lightroom 5.7 on my old PC (i5 7400, Windows 10, 16Gb Ram, GT730 2Gb video card) and I’m happy with its speed. However Microsoft doesn’t support upgrading to Windows 11 due to the processor and will stop supporting Windows 10 in October, hence the need to get a new PC. To add to the frustration (and cost) Adobe won’t support the transfer of Lightroom 5.7 to a new PC even though I have a perpetual licence. So I will need to move to Lightoom Classic and/or ON1 PhotoRaw, both of which have much higher hardware requirements. In particular both make use of Ai and videoRAM, which lightroom 5.7 doesn’t. So the new PC needs to be faster.
I’ve looked at the PCSpecialist offerings, and the attached spec looks suitable and affordable. I’d appreciate any comments and suggestions.
