Is there a way to plug in a desktop gpu to an Asus K55A? I wondered if there is some-way to plug the gpu into the pci slot inside the laptop. I would need it to be portable too. Or would it just be better going with a desktop build eventually?
Unless you used an e-gpu you can't. That wouldn't be very portable either as you would need a dedicated psu to power the card on it's own along with a flex ribbon to connect it to the laptop which can get damaged easily. Too much hassle imo.
Definitely go for a desktop build instead.
