Proposed PC for light video editing and gaming

Hello,

I want a desktop PC for running applications like Camtasia, Word and Excel. I'm also interested in basic 1080p gaming.
Total budget would be around £1,400 or so.
My proposed monitor is the Iiyama ProLite XU2793HS - B7 27". (100Hz, 1080p)

Ultimately you're not getting much response because this is really tricky! I guess none of your demands are that big, so as long as you can recognise that you are getting a system that is very much a compromise for your needs (well, the video editing and gaming!) then that's OK. It's with that in mind that I'll suggest the following.

First, don't get that monitor. 27" at 1080p looks awful. You can get the AOC 24G4X for £99, and that, while smaller, would be a vastly better experience. Then I'd get the PC below, which is near-ish to £1300:

AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-5.3GHz/40MB CACHE/AM5) Good choice for your needs, but you could cut back to the 7600 if you needed to save some budget

ASUS® TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7) An upgrade; a way more capable motherboard, with integrated WiFi, that will offer you a chance of upgrades in the future

32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz CL40 (2 x 16GB) I'd prefer CL30, but for your needs it won't make a massive difference

12GB INTEL ARC B580 LIMITED EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP Probably the best choice at this budget
