Rare random freeze on a new PC

Got this PC a few weeks ago and happy with it apart from this rare issue. It happened for the second time today. The mouse cursor begins to move very slowly, like it sticks in one spot then jumps to a new spot rather than gliding across the screen, then the computer freezes entirely and I have to hold down the power button to force shut down. Both times it happened with nothing running except Firefox. First time I was watching a video on Youtube, just now it happened as I was reading on Wikipedia. The fans aren't going wild or anything when it happens, everything sounds normal, it just freezes. I don't even have STEAM or anything running because I have all those set to NOT start when the system starts up, it was literally just Firefox.

Any idea what could be causing this? I will paste the essential components of the computer below:

The unique URL is broken by the way, it's listing the wrong specs entirely. The ones pasted above it are correct.

Have you run all optional updates once you received it?

Have you installed any anti virus?

No antivirus (I'm told that these days the standard one built in to Windows is adequate and I don't go anywhere dodgy on the internet)

I've done Windows update and AMD (graphics card drivers) update.

There's a program called iCUE which wants me to do a firmware update but this one wants me to plug in a USB or something and I don't have one, and in any case I have iCUE set to not start with Windows so it just sits there not doing anything. I used it once to turn down the blindingly bright lights inside my case and that was it.

You’ll need to update device firmwares, won’t need any usb, it’s all done over the web

Also check if Armoury Crate is installed, that would need to be uninstalled with the official uninstaller

Alright I've updated the firmware. I read the warning wrong, it didn't need a USB stick, plus I figured it wasn't an important update since PCS didn't update it themselves before shipping. iCUE is totally new to me, never even heard of it before getting this computer.

Likewise, I don't know what Armoury Crate is. It is installed (PCS must have done that because this is also the first time I'm learning of its existence). Do I need it? If it's something I need, do I need to reinstall it now or should I just leave it be?

You need to uninstall it as above, can’t do it from windows

Then you need to check the auto install isn’t enabled in the BIOS

Have you run optional updates yet?

Just type it into search. You don’t have to know where anything is in windows 11, just search for it

Well thanks for all the help. I've done everything but I'm going to leave Armoury Crate installed. Turns out I used it to dim the lights in my case, and I can't risk those coming back on at full brightness if I get rid of it. I'm not running a nightclub in here. I don't need 20,000,000 lumens of red green and blue lights giving me a headache when I'm trying to play games in the evening.

You apply any lighting effects to the device itself and then uninstall armoury crate. The lighting will stay the same.

Armory crate is notorious for crashes and freezes even ASUS suggest uninstalling it

But your call
