Thoughts on this spec. Am using for all Adobe CC apps and 3D modelling.

Any additions/omissions? Thanks!

Mainly video editing in Premiere Pro - 4K footage (10 bit 4:2:2 off Sony fx6 and fx3). After effects animation. Photoshop and Illustrator design. Some ai generation, mainly video in Runway. Cap cut occasionally.

Hum ...
Okay, I am not an expert when it comes to illustrations, but I think this is really nice to work with large picture.
This being said, I would change the SSDs, if I am not wrong, samsung is not the best nowadays (and I have a 990pro in my laptop).
For the primary drive, I would take the crucial T705 and only use it for software and working project (I know this is only 1To, but it should be okay)
And for your secondary drives, I would take the corsair drive MP600 pro (2*4to would only cost you ÂŁ22 more ^^).

Except from that, I think it is a powerful beast you got there ^^

I agree with @Tron1982.

@superconfirm I'm just concerned that the lack of an external liquid cooler may cause thermal throttling issues in that chassis.

Is the 18-inch size critical? If not, a Recoil 16 AMD with an external cooler could be better suited for extended editing sessions.

Thanks for the feedback all. Take the points on m2 drives. Prefer 18” as when I’m editing onsite I have a second 18” portable monitor to extend displays. Had a message on Reddit from an existing Recoil 18” 5090 owner reporting that lack of liquid cooling wasn’t an issue. Mainly as the chassis can cool better being a bigger form factor and more space for airflow.

The 18" model is a completely different make, doesn't use a watercooler.

That is true, however I am not sure how much difference a 2 mm increase in thickness would make.

If, for your purposes, you have been assured that the chassis has no thermal throttling issues, that is good news. (y)
