Reinstalling Windows 10 if needed

Hi,

I used my Windows 7 Professional product key to do a clean install of Windows 10 on my old PCS build. How would I do a a clean reinstall of Windows 10, so there would be no apps or settings?

Can I just use the the same DVD that I created using the 'creation tool' to install Windows 10 and enter my Windows 7 product key like I did the first time?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

Thank you.

I would do it all over again so that you have the latest version of Windows.

The easiest way to do it is using USB media.

Your starting point is here..

I would probably recommend a 16GB USB stick but I think an 8GB normally does the job.

As above you can just reinstall Windows, technically with whatever you used last time, but ideally with a freshly-created installation media.

You will probably not have to re-enter the licence key as the PC will have this stored now on the motherboard.

As long as you have had Windows 10 installed and activated by any method the Microsoft activation servers will have logged your hardware ID as licensed for Windows 10. You can reinstall Windows 10 as often as you like without entering a product key at all, as soon as you go online it will auto-activate.
