SLI Bridge

Hello all

I received my PC on Monday, great to finally have it here.

My PC arrived without an SLI bridge which is probably because I had my GPU's taken out of the order just before it was sent.

I called on Monday to report that it was missing and was told it would be sent out asap. Ive just got back home from being away for a few days and there is no SLI bridge here and ive just been told on the phone that there is no record of me calling or that I requested an SLI bridge.

Quite a frustrating experience as Ive got 2 gpu's here and 3 monitors waiting to be used and ive now had my PC for 5 days.

Are SLI bridges part of the mobo package? Does everyone receive them even if they only order a single GPU?

One is now being sent to me but they wouldn't send me it next day as it isn't expensive enough of an item.

I went with PC specialists because of their low price but I guess u get what u pay for. 3 more days of waiting then.

Im hoping I manage to get mine tomorrow too , Still think theyre a great company, had absolutley no problems apart from missing sli bridge. Would deffinately order again through them.

Dont think you can really taint your experience with a simple mistake, especially as they've gotten back to you today very promptly and sent it out as they have done with me .

its a simple mistake but it means I can't use all my monitors. Its frustrating but I didn't moan the first time I called them, just asked for it to be sent out. I did moan when I called today as it hadn't arrived and there was no record of me calling. Especially as The guy said he was making notes on my acocunt as the SLI bridge wasn't the only thing I called about.

Fair enuff, you can use all 3 monitors btw, just not in surround, I have all 3 hooked up (shown in my show off pc thread) but without the sli bridge they act as seperate cards not as a single card.

Time to eat a piece of humble pie. The post just arrived and there was an SLI bridge in it So for whatever reason the person I spoke to on Monday didn't record it but did sent the bridge out.

doesnt look like mine is gonna arrive today after all gutted. Not sure what delivery company PCS are using, but normal post has been and gone.

gutted for you. Considering the price we pay for pur PC's it doesn't seem to much to ask that PCS send out next day delivery (£4) rather than first class when they forget to include something.

Ive got a spare now so anyone that wants an SLI bridge let me know Ill be happy to pop it in the post.

To be honest they sent it out immediatley so im not complaining. I think theyve done a fantastic job customer service wise, most companies id still be chasing them up next week.

Well PCS have been more than helpful, they sent me a new bridge yesterday as the other one they sent on friday had not arrived. This morning my dad gets back from work and the dustman comes up to him and says, hey I found this parcel on the floor round the corner, turns out the mail man must have dropped it on saturday. Nice one dustman .
