Slow Framerate when playing a Yogscast Complete Pack for Minecraft on my current rig

Hi,

I have had my machine from PCS for about 2 years now and recently have started to get into playing Yogscast Complete Pack Modpack for Minecraft. A lot of people have mentioned that the modpack is quite CPU intensive and I am having some issues with my framerate being around 30fps whilst playing. I was wondering if upgrading my CPU would help to boost the performance.

This is a last resort thing as I have tried to use things like FPS+ and Optifine but they haven't installed correctly and caused errors when launching the modpack. I have also tried running Minecraft from my SSD and checked that I am running a 64 bit version of Java.

Here are my current specs to compare it to.

Are you using 64bit-Java (assuming you are using a 64-bit operating system) it can make a big improvement in the performance of Minecraft.

I decided to go ahead with buying it and upgrading my cpu. I am very happy with the results of it too. Almost Doubled my framerate in the modpack.
