hi all I have a cypher G70 with a GIGABYTE B660 DS3H DDR4 (rev. 1.0) : LGA1700, DDR4, USB 3.2 motherboard,I have windows pre installed on a ssd and have just got a Samsung 980 NVM M2 internal SSD 1TB, I've installed it in a slot above the graphics card,BUT it's not registering in windows as a new drive! can anyone give me a clue as to where I'm going wrong? the drive is brand new so I'm assuming it's not damaged I've removed and reseated it but it's just not showing as a new drive!

this is where it gets weird and very annoying under disk management earlier it was showing up,but would not initilize, kept coming up as invalid,I checked and found it had come out of its socket,so reseated and since then it will not show up!

It's either not seated correctly or fried. I take it you turned off the power at the PSU before reseating the drive?

case was open and all cables removed,I've no idea how it be fried but as I can't get it to show up at all,I'm annoyed to say the least!

I've had probably 3 DOA or failed very quickly m.2 SSDs in the last 5 years or so. 1 Crucial and 2 Sabrent Rocket (the only 2 I've ever bought of that brand). All my other Crucial, WD, Sandisk, Samsung have been fine.
