clean installation from a bootable USB drive.

That error points to an issue with a Realtek network driver.

Are there any updates showing in Optional Updates for that driver? (according to Gigabyte's website, there was a driver update on 12th June)...

Also, have you installed any 3rd party 'driver manager' software (even the Gigabyte one), as they tend to offer incorrect/outdated versions.
