The Fusion 550 Gaming PC

Hi All
I am just getting back in to pc gaming after a very long break and would appreciate any advice on this system.
I am very restricted to budget and out of the loop when it comes to the knowledge of a good component from a bad one.
after some looking around, I can see that pcspecialist is a very good resource. No good looking around places like currys.
My main issue is budget. I can't afford a prime setup and have a budget of around £500.
I have been looking at the Fusion 550 gaming pc from pcspecialist and would appreciate any thoughts on it.
If the components are good to get going and the options are there for effective upgrading when I can afford, would you recommend this system or something else. I want to get started on elite dangerous even though high quality settings won't be possible until a graphics card upgrade, but as long as I can when I'm ready.

Thanks
Rob

I may be able spend nearer to £600 now. If anybody could recommend a gaming spec for me I would appreciate it. If I could get elite dangerous running that would be great
thanks again

That's so much better than the Fusion one you were first looking at, aside from being more expensive it's leaps and bounds more capable as a gaming system.

Yes this does look better than the fusion :)

When I ran the compatibility check, I got this message:

"Please note that due to the motherboard you have selected not having a USB 3.0 header, the USB 3.0 front ports on this case will not be active. If you would like the USB 3.0 ports to be functional, please select a different motherboard."

Does that mean some ports wont work?

Thanks

Just means that the motherboard doesn't support usb3 ports on the front of the case, so they'll either be inactive or they'll be usb2. You'd need to up the motherboard to include usb3 front ports.

I selected the next board "Gigabyte 990XA-UD3" and the message went away. Its an extra £27. I will go for that one if you guys think its a better board and worth it

Thanks again

That really depends on you. Do you urgently require USB 3.0? Can you be ok with just USB 2.0? You still get USB 3.0 but at the back not at the front

No I don't really need 3.0 on the front. 2.0 would be fine. Is it possible for me to get them connected to 2.0 instead or will pcspecialist just leave the ports redundant?
I would rather they were still working. I'm looking to see where I can specify that.

I have just ordered my pc as Keynes specified.
Thanks to both Keynes and SpyderTracks for your helpful advice. I'm looking forward to getting it in a week or so :)
I've added reputation to your profiles.
