Unable to update BIOS

Hello I was wondering if anyone could help with me with updating my BIOS.
I was given a PC that was originally bought from PCS, however the person that I have received this from is now not contactable and I have tried downloading a BIOS update from Gigabyte's website but this keeps failing.

Motherboard Manufacture: Gigabyte
Model: Aorus Elite AX
Current BIOS version: F5f

Is there an issue that you believe the newer BIOS will resolve, or are you just doing it for the sake of doing it?

Normally we'd tell you to get the ownership transferred over from the previous owner...but you've already said that they're unresponsive.

I don't know if there are PCS-specific BIOS files on the customer account pages (I don't have any BIOS files showing in my account downloads section), but you'd normally also have to get PCS's approval to update the BIOS anyway to avoid any warranty voiding issues...but that's also moot as you won't have any PCS warranty as the PC ownership has not been transferred anyway.

The only other thing I can think of is to check that there's not more than one revision of your motherboard...as BIOS may be specific to that revision (motherboard revision is usually on the very bottom-left edge of the motherboard).

I'm currently using the PC for office use and we are required to update the BIOS for compliance.
I shall try and have a look at the revision outside working hours and try and get BIOS that matches.
