Hi.
this is my setup.
i have to jobs which require the use of 2 computers.
1. a macbook
2. a windows laptop.
i have seperate monitor, mouse and keyboard so do not use the mac or pc screen or keyboards.
i will only use one at a time. i have a gigabit switch to give me internet to both so thats good and the printer is wireless so thats sorted but.
i want to use the same monitor and was thinking about using a vga splitter so i don't need to swap the cable from mac to pc and back.
will the splitter work in either direction as in it seems to be made for 1 pc to 2 monitors but i need 2 pc to 1 monitor.
as only one pc will be on at any time so not having to signals to confuse matters will this work.
this seems to be the cheapest and easyest way to get what i need am i right?
thx all.

Does the monitor have two display inputs? I had a similar arrangement and just ran a cable from the PC to the monitor and also a cable from the laptop to the monitor; I would then select on the monitor which input to use.
