Well this is annoying.

Sat here at my desk going "Why is my PC making so much noise? What a racket!"

So I open AI Suite Fan Expert and all my temps are OK, fans are OK etc...

Get down on my hands and knees to listen to my PC....

It's my external HDD. The fan in my HDD makes more noise than my entire PC. What a racket!

Might as well have not bothered with a silent PC

Then he said it was his external HDD and I was like, phew



My old &#~*$%"£! PC that my dad uses has made quite a lot of noise for a while now. I am sure it is a fan catching summit, but I haven't bothered looking yet he stopped complaining a while ago

Well, it was a bit noisy. But now it seems the vent for my flat's extraction fan is right outside my window, so I think it was a bit of both.



In other news, I'm using AOMEI backup utility - I set it going around 11.30 and it was at 70% when I checked it this morning - despite it saying it would take 2hrs :/ It still says 2hrs - but there is data transferring.

Is this normal?
