White Screen on monitor after shutting down the computer

Hey Guys,
I recently purchased an Asus VX248H monitor, but I have encountered an issue. After shutting down my computer, the monitor's display turns white screen, and the power button becomes unresponsive. The only way I have found to resolve it is by unplugging and reconnecting the power cable.
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? any suggestions?

It's likely faulty, would get it replaced, shouldn't be happening.
