Will this melt? (and is the ram to slow?)

Hey, so I've had problems with heat flow before but am reluctant to go with water cooling as I'm worried about having to move it (unit student). So do you think this spec is going to have trouble staying cool?

also will i notice a specific speed loss with 1333Mhz compared to 1600mhz? I have read conflicting things =/

Firstly, are you sure that you need 32gb of ram? For speed, you will not notice any speed difference at stock speeds, however, you will if you o/c. Also, the 1600mhz ram is very little more. Cooling wise, as far as I can see you should be fine.

Nope =) dont 'need' it. I will be using it for development and high end gaming so i would like quite a lot and well I figure if im going to spend quite a lot of money on 12-24 GB i may as well bite the bullet and buy 32GB because rams not that expensive and hopefully be more futureproof =)

thanks for the reply! very much appreciated.

I'd go for one strong card than two lesser cards, such as a 580 or a 570, then sli it in the future.

personally i'd think of going for a ssd as a boot drive instead of the caching drive. even if it was one of the lower cost intel ssd's.

to the above spec, i would get the 3GB 580s, silver warranty, and perhaps a 600GB velociraptor for all your games

Yeah, sorry, missed the silver warranty! For the gpus, do you really think that 3GB 580s is necessary unless several screens are being used? For the velociraptor, you can but I don't know if I would recommend it! It isn't really going to help the games much apart from load times, however, if you can afford it, get it!

the 3GB would be worth it as you are spending so much money, and if he decides later he wants to triple screen then he can with no problems

I have defiantly revised my video card to the single 3GB (GTX 580), and changed the main HDD to a SSD for the OS. Your build is im afraid a tad over budget =( but maybe if I remove the liquid cooling and sacrifice a HDD I can get it back down; though then again I'm not sure that will be a terribly different build from mine :p

also i was considering upping the PSU wattage but wasn't sure if it was neccesary; is it just in case I add anything to it in the future?

thanks for the advice from everyone!

Ok, well, firstly the case, mine offers better cooling but aesthetics are personal opinion so it is your choice. Get an SSD for the boot drive then if you need just space and not so much performance get the caviar greens. If you need space and performance then it is caviar black. Get the 3GB 580 then make sure you get enough psu power so that you are able to add another one at a later date when you need it. Keep the RAM to 16GB, you won't need anymore and when you do, it is so easy to install. Feel free to drop to the non-liquid cooler, I am sure it will be adequate. Finally, drop the bullguard unless you are intending to carry it on because it is a nightmare to uninstall. When you have got a spec sorted, make sure to post it won't you!
