windows 10 whats on the disc

just like all pcs customers i have the windows 10 disc in case i ever need to use it.

i dont want curiosity to kill my pc so can somebody tell me whats on the disc as well as the windows 10 operating system.

i dont want to put the disc in to explore contents in case something starts to launch itself and trash my set up.

Um, it has all the files required to install Win10 (this will include the relevant stuff for doing Windows repair as well) - that's pretty much it afaik

There will be no prob putting the DVD in when you've already started the PC, on mine it asks what I want to do with it, ie. start the set-up program, or just open it in Windows Explorer to look at it.
If you accidentally leave the DVD in there and try and boot with it in there it will start the setup if your boot priority goes to the DVD drive first but there will be an easy way to step out of that and boot into the already installed OS.

It's always a good idea to turn off Autorun anyway. It's one less attack vector - it's not unknown, for example, for companies or even foreign powers to seed USB sticks around car parks, etc of locations where they know certain individuals may be.

However, at least with Windows, it's fairly benign in that it just runs the setup.exe on the disc.

When I checked the version I was sent, it was basically just a burned copy of the ISO with nothing else at all.
