Is it a laptop ? if so, you may have a wifi on/off button or switch, often above the keyboard. see manual.

Right click on the Computer icon on the desktop, select Manage and then Device Manager.
(or in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager)
In there look for any yellow icons /!\
under Network adapters you should see your wireless card. Right click it and it shoud say Disable, which means it is currently enabled, if not click Enable, to turn it back on.

if you don't see any wireless dongle in device manager (and it's a desktop pc) the card may have become dislodged during transit, so you may have to re-seat it. Power off, remove case side. If you're not happy doing this i suggest you phone the helpdesk and they will be able to troubleshoot the problem and talk you through.

see how you get on with that.
good luck

If it's a desktop with a wireless card then have you attached the two receivers?

I don't mean to sound patronising but you'd be amazed how many people don't realize. :)

I think I have done a big mistake as my network is below: And I don't think it has the wireless facility :( I have planning to order a network card : TP-Link TL-WN781ND 150Mbps Wireless PCI Express Adapter). My system is quite useless till that time.

Network Facilities ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs

You're right, the PC has no wireless facilities at this time. :(

You don't have to order an internal card - if it's easier for you an external USB adapter will do exactly the same job. :)

ahhh, that'll be it.
I use a usb dongle - infact i have my dongle on a usb extension, so i can position it better.
There are things you can look at for better wifi performance, but does come down to how many walls you have to go through etc.
If you're not streaming movies over wifi, then reducing your network to work at 54mbps rather than 100mbps will give a bigger range and signal strength (assuming it's not already running at 54mb that is)
