Hi all, I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered up a new system which I hope should be future proofed for quite some time however I was hoping to get some input from people who have ordered liquid series PC's around a few cooling / RGB elements I'm not entirely sure about, here's the spec:

I wasn't sure whether to go with the 7800X3D for better gaming performance, or one of the high core processors for work purposes which despite being more powerful processors don't generally perform as well due to the 2 chiplet 3D cache setup; I eventually plumped for the better gaming CPU. Similarly, I was torn on the memory front, as I can definitely get away with 32GB for gaming, but it would be handy for my work, but PCS seemed to be changing the availability as to what DIMM configurations were available with this MOBO, I do like the idea of 4xdimms from an aesthetics standpoint, and I'd prefer the higher capacity for work, but have concerns about expo etc. on 4 x 16GB kits and whether the thing will even post, as I've seen various things that suggest the system may not like this particular setup - anyone have any experience on this front?

I know the HYTE 60 stock case comes with 3 x 120's (2 in the base, 1 rear exhaust), and the Corsair kit comes with 'up to 6' LL120 fans, which is fine except I want the LED 'halo' effect inside the case, and ideally the front-side radiator (240mm) to be an intake, so it runs 2 front/side intakes, 2 bottom intakes, 3 top exhaust and 1 rear exhaust, since the LL120's only have the LED halo on the intake side, it means that the illumination were the 240mm radiator be set to intake would have the lighting against the radiator, not shining into the case. As such, I'd asked that these be swapped to QL series fans which have the light ring both front and back for better aesthetics. I had asked at the same time the included 240mm radiator be swapped to a 280mm radiator, figuring that the difference in price between the two is only about a tenner, however it seems that the additional charge wasn't just the delta between the two, effectively I'd have to buy the 280 separately, and I'd lose the 240 included with the kit as standard, so it was an extra 80 quid just to go from 240 to 280, rather than a tenner that it actually costs for the difference in parts. As such, I asked we just stick with the 240mm front-side radiator included as standard, but change the 2 included fans that would have been with the standard kit to QL series.... that said, they appear to have put QL140's not QL120's still, even though I'm no longer going for the larger radiator... anyone know if you can fit 140's to a radiator designed with 120's in mind? Also, does anyone know if the stock exhaust fan would be swapped out for an LL120 as part of the 'up to 6' in the standard kit as it would be a shame aesthetics wise to have the stock fan in place given that swapping it out would still mean that PCS are still only having to include 4 out of the 'up to 6'?

Has anyone ordered the corsair custom loop and if so, do you know whether it includes a commander pro to control all the corsair RGB fans / custom loop elements that are RGB? I've asked and been told along the lines that 'relevant controllers would be included' but I'm not sure what exactly this constitutes, commander pro, core xt etc.

Finally I wasn't sure whether to plump for a 1200 watt power supply for future proofing, but I'm hoping with lower transients on the 40 series, 1000 watt should be fine, also the storage setup wasn't quite what I wanted, but there seems to be a few issues with certain M.2 availability at the moment so I had to settle on a 2TB (OS and work) / 4TB (game) setup, hopefully though, this system should see me well for a few years in conjunction with my existing 49" Samsung odyssey G9, anyone think I've made any glaring mistakes, I've still got time to make changes before the build completes?

Cheers
