Hello peoples.
Not posted here for months. Looking for new job and all that codswallop because my current one's looking unstable. As an aside, if anyone knows of anyone or anywhere who wants to hire a moderately experienced property litigation solicitor, PM me. I'm single, own no property and have no family so I can relocate anywhere.
Anyhow. Around October 2012 I upgraded from a Powercolor 6870 to a Sapphire 7850 OC Dual-X. In around June 2013 I overclocked it further to 1,000MHz core and 1,400MHz memory and it's been completely stable and not gone over about 60 C even under full load.
Recently, I've noticed weird horizontal lines across my screen at certain times, but only when I'm downloading a large file or files, and only when the desktop is visible. They flash for like a microsecond then come back. In games or videos it's absolutely fine though. At present I'm downloading part 2 of Broken Sword 5 and I'm getting this, and the other day when downloading the Elite: Dangerous beta it did this but only in MS Outlook rather than on the desktop.
Does this mean any part of my system is about to explode horribly or otherwise become an ex-component?
I was going to do a complete upgrade this year but I'm saving that as a treat for when I get a new job and thus I can afford an R9 290, a Haswell, a larger PSU, and so forth.
