Xonar 7.1 help

I've just bought a new rig from PC Specialist (Arrived yesterday)

I use my rig for DJ'ing, but I'm having an issue with my Xonar card.

I have set Pioneer Rekordbox to use Channels 1&2 (Front) as the Master (Main Speakers), and Channels 3&4 (Rear) as my Cue (Headphones) as per Pioneer's recommendation, but I can always hear the rear (cue) output on Channel 1&2 at about 25% volume!

Is this a settings thing?
A Xonar issue (ie. mixes channels and you can't turn it off)?,
or a knackered card?

I should not be hearing anything playing on cue through channels 1&2 as the software only plays the cueing track through 3&4!
It wasn't an issue with the Realtek onboard sound on my old PC, I bought the Xonar because of the better sound quality.

I could always use the Realtek onboard audio when I'm DJ'ing, but that would defeat 50% of the reason for having the Xonar!

Any help would be appreciated.
I've had to dip out of doing a live event tonight because of this!

Thanks

Can you please post the FULL spec from your order please? That way everyone can see exactly what build we're talking about. :)

It sounds like you’ve got some spatial surround setting enabled or 3D audio.

The Xonar is the wrong product for your uses basically, you need an audio soundcard rather than a gaming one.

Thanks guys, had a bit of advice off a DJ friend of mine this morning and this is sorted now.
He advised that if you have 2 sound cards (Xonar and Realtek onboard in my case), you can configure the software to use both.
So, the Xonar is connected to my full 7.1 system now for output and my cue is connected to the Realtek hardware. It sounds absolutely amazing!
