RRRrrrrrrr not yet! I am still undecided, I get pay tomorrow so things may change. It seems the GTX 590 is again out of stock so it will be a long wait for my order

what about the 7970? Beast of a single gpu, well food for thought.

Wait till ya get ya pc before deciding on the fan controller, you may find you don't need it.

I am getting the 27" Asus VG278H 3D Monitor with Nvidia Vision. I want to play 3D games and I think it will be easier to use the Nvidia gpu.

Gargh money is going to be tight next month. I'm contemplating dropping to a i3-2130. I'm going to be using my PC for college work (Office, Visual Studio, Photoshop) and the odd bit of gaming. I currently have the i5 2400 on order. Please give me some reasons not to change my mind. I guess the i3 won't last me as long would it?

the i52400 is going to be alot stronger than the i3! I pretty sure anyway.

edit - stick with the quad core i5! :) the i3 is a dual core. The I5 will be better for gaming and generally faster during applications that use multi-cores.

well it depends how tight financially you may end up, I am currently doing overtime to be able to pay back my credit card and it is just stressful especially since I have not received the unit yet however I still think it is worth it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. The only reason I'm panicking is because I have two birthdays and a Valentines day to pay for in February lol
I'm sure I could manage even if I stick with the i5. I'll probably have a few programs open a lot as well, so the extra cores would help. :)

EDIT: @ rubensolo
I wish I could do overtime. I work in retail and takings are down recently with it being after Xmas, so there isn't any overtime. Hopefully it picks up soon as more is available. :)

Life will be easier if PCS accepted barter as a method of payment

I went for the Fan controller, PCS advised me to get them to fit it as i wasent totally sure where to place the 5 heat sensors, i went for the 7970 Graphics card after a friend had trouble with their 580 with heat, i later found out 2 of his fans stopped working & he didn't even realize.
Rubensolo knock yourself out & go all out for what you can afford, but dont go mad like i did & slow down your build, just wish i spent more time in the beginning planning my ideal build, the last 21 days of pre-production has been a nightmare of waiting but ive learn't my lesson.
I cant see the 590 being in stock anytime soon, my motherboard,& 7970 card went out of stock this week only to become available again the next day so theres always hope

Thanks for the advice, I'll try not to make further changes to my order, 21 days pre-production is a long wait but I assume your oder should be ready before it reaches a months wait. Good luck.
