Hi all,

I've had my PC from PCS a few weeks now and its working great.

I was just wondering why my USB 3.0 capable
memory stick that I use in the front port of my PC gets a message saying that this device
can perform faster every time.

You may find that the USB3.0 ports are on the back of the machine, and the ones at the front are only USB2.0.

I'm a bit dissapointed about that. The USB 3.0 ports at the rear are difficult to get at and I use
my USB 3.0 on a daily bases.
I'm supprised that I've got a PC with updated technology and I can't make easy use of
USB 3.0.

Note, this does depend on various things (like the case), so I may not be correct.

It was very similar when USB2.0 was still new, many ports on the front of machines were still restricted to USB1.0 for some time.

USB 3.0 ports are always blue, like rubensolo and rakk said that depends on what case you have, some have USB3.0 ports on the front, some don't.

Thanks for responding guys.

My case is a Coolermaster Sileo 500 Super Quiet Case.
As tom_gr7 says usb 3.0 ports are blue. So I'm sure I have usb 2 in that case.
USB 3.0 are backward compitable so why both with usb 2.0 on new PCs?

Thanks Vanthus, I thought of that idea. So, to make things easier thats what I'll do.
