MINECRAFT please help me get my son started! i beg you lol

Hi all well i just paid for minecraft for my son but for some reason when i got to (Download Minecraft.exe (270 KB). Place it anywhere you want, then run it. ) the down load will not start at all just goes stright to retry dowload! very annoying and im hoping well preying that one of you good people will know how to start the dowload?

Not sure where you're running into trouble here. I presume you're using https://minecraft.net/download for your dl. try perhaps using another brower from which to dl in the first place. i dont play MC but tried dl'ing he file to see if there were any issues and Google Chrome it popped right into my downloads.

hi thanks for quick reply im using internet explorer and when i click that link a yellow box appears at the bottom of the screen and says (save) i click the box and then it just jumps right to retry! stupid thing lol should i try chrome?

If you have chrome then give that a bash, but it doesn't sound like your doing anything wrong. im not super technical so can't really break your problem down any further im afraid. Like i said give chrome a try and if that doesnt work it might be worth giving the minecraft support forums a try. Hopefully you get it done.

Ah Chrome strikes again. Do yourself a favour and make it your regular browser. Also go to the customise toolbar on the top right - tools - extensions and search for Adblock. Theres a one click installation that will change your browsing experience (just click on "add to chrome"). I say this as you have kids using your pc, and adblock will overhaul every add/malware/spam carry on. Its free and IMO its the best piece of software on the internet.
