A single gtx 670 is going to eat that game for breakfast, SLI isn't going to cause any problems on shogun...

yes it will run fine dude :)

woohoo I've ran shogun 2 on a single 580 not so long ago and it was fine.

Also two cards are going to give you great settings with a really good amount of frames! i found one card would only give me about 30 or so when I zoomed in and watched the fighting on max settings.

Great, finally good to hear sli works on this game lol, really appreciate it.

no worries,

also if you download nvidia experience, its beta software, that sets your settings to optimal in each game. Shogun 2 is listed on there, so defo worth getting. Also rome II will probably follow the same suit.

Hi again, i was recently told by comment on youtube that the 670sli idea was not good because they only have 2GB of vram. HERE IS WHAT HE SAID -

"if you are going SLI the 4GB would be a good idea.
You shouldn't run low on VRAM before they get low on power."

"SL setups last.. for example 470 SLI is about the same FPS as a 680.
One would expect 670 sli to perform like an 880."

I have also been told 2GB vram will not be enogh soon and games like skyrim need 4GB vram, Nedd help with all this lol!!!

if you are playing on one screen at 1920x1080 then 2gb cards are more than enough.

Hi, i am really stuck now, because The games i like playing are demanding (crysis 3, shogun 2, rome 2 when it comes out, skyrim with mods), i don't think having cards with 2GB vram will be enough (GTX 670sli), will it be worth just saving up for a single GTX 4GB 690?

I'm running a single EVGA 2gb 680 and that is more than enough to handle games on max settings, on single screen.

i would only suggest getting 4gb card, IF you are contemplating gaming over three screens.

+1 to what the guys above have said, if you know now you want to game in 3 monitors and at high resolutions then definitely consider a 4Gb card, however 2Gb is fine for most games and most uses. Skyrim (for example) only uses more than 4Gb when heavily modded (I think) even if gaming in 3 screens.
