Fast track 3 working day dispatch?

Hello

Today I made an order for a custom spec laptop. At first I picked fast track 5 working days and then made the order... but after thinking for a bit I amended the order to 3 working days, I then got confirmation that it had been changed VIA live support

What I would like to know is...

In the members section and order section it shows charts about wait times etc... the processing time could take up to 1-6 days along with pre-production it says... But if you pick a 3 working day fast track does it bypass all the processing and pre production time? or does that not change and in theory you could just wait as long as a 7-9 working day shipment?

I was just hoping somebody could shed some light on the fast track procedure?

Thank you for your time

If you made the change before mid day it will take 3 working days from today for dispatch, so it should be dispatch at the latest on Tuesday next week.

If there was a part out of stock they wouldn't have offered fast track. If they are unable to meet the 3 working days you will get a refund.

cheers for that, I clicked on "my spare parts" within my account and I seen 2 parts that are out of stock:

230W LAPTOP POWERPACK for 17.3" Vortex IV
AU Optronics B173HW01 V.5 - 17.3" Matte 72% Gamut for 17.3" Vortex IV

so if I wanted to I could not make an order for them
But does anybody know if the spare parts stock is also where they get the parts to begin a build? Because if it does then it looks like I wont be getting my laptop within the 3 working days :(
Thank you

No one but PCS can answer that. I ordered using fast track on Friday, I am confident I will get it by next week, if you are unsure just phone PCS.

My experience of using 3 Day Fast Track...

I ordered using the 3-day Fast Track at 12:59 on Tuesday 22nd March (last week). It was after midday (rats) so the Tuesday didn't count so dispatch was expected to be on Friday.

I got an email by Wednesday afternoon telling me the machine had been built (status was "In Building").

Unfortunately that's where the status stayed until the following Monday 28th (earlier this week).

I then called PCS as keynes suggests and though it took a little while to get through, a very helpful chap (Darrin) chased it up for me and turned it into a 5-day fast track with an immediate £30 refund. He also mentioned that it would be dispatched that day.

The machine was dispatched on Monday as promised and arrived lunchtime yesterday (the tracking during delivery was very impressive - I knew the machine had arrived at my work place before the delivery department here got round to emailing me that a package had arrived).

All in all. Very positive.
