Lines on screan

Hey when i luanch a game these lines go up and down my screan anyone know how to fix it its a graphical thing

Did you do a clean install? Not just reinstalling, but specifying to do a clean install where it will completely remove all settings previously applied?

Blimey, nice build :yes:

When you go to install them, select a custom install, then on the first window where it shows which components will be installed, make sure you tick "perform a clean installation" under the components window.



Are you using the latest drivers?

Could also try re seating the GPU if you don't get the drivers to fix it.

Open up the side panel.
Ground yourself
Remove the mounting screws
Depress the tab holding the card into the slot by reaching under it then gently pull up.

Press it back in firmly and reverse the steps above, boot the machine and see if it works.

i have just taken it out and put it back in but the lines are still there

How old is the machine, is it still in warranty?

If you have done a clean installation fo the drivers and it has not fixed it then it could be a GPU issue, or (very unlikely) an issue with the connection of the cable on the GPU or monitor.

My machine is about 2 weeks old and it was fine two days ago this just happened today.
Ive red some other peoples posts and they said its the moniter refrsh rate

Have you tried a different video cable? If it's possible it might also be worth trying a different monitor.

i dont have another moniter what you mean video cable like the blue on i forget whats its called or a hdmi cable but when i change it to hdmi it says no signal

When you change it to HDMI you will need to go into the monitor's OSD and change the input to HDMI rather than VGA or whatever you have plugged in at the moment.
If the cable you are currently using is VGA then I would highly recommend changing it for HDMI. With VGA you will be losing image quality with your 780ti.
