Because if you look the second has a much more powerful GPU to account for the better monitor. If you were to do the same on the other build it would be well over your budget.

That AMD build will max out 1080p 144Hz just the same as an Intel build, but the chip is actually secure whereas intel chips are plagued with security issues, a lot of which can't be patched, plus each patch further reduces perfomance:

It doesn't have the capacity for a dGPU, so no, wouldn't be able to game on it.

The GPU is the most expensive part of a gaming PC, and AIO's cost more than a normal PC.

To be fair I would have thought that budget would get you a gaming pc that would smash 1080p gaming.
I think sometimes its forgotten that although 1080p gaming is seen as entry level it doesnt mean you cant play virtually every game on high setting and have a great fun.

I remember when you needed high level PCs to play any game on high settings. My kids are loving their PCs on more or less that budget and can play any game. Stay in 1080p and it's all good
