Is using a mobile phone the best method as an account recovery option to get sent an SMS, so the account be recovered, e.g. a Gmail account.

Any advice would be appreciated, please.

I have enterted that https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Is+using+a+mobile+phone+the+best+method+as+an+account+recovery+option?

This seems to be the preferred primary method for account recovery. But as a secondary method, would it be too much to create an email address and just use it for account recovery and nothing else?

And all account details and passwords would be stored in a password manager.

Any advice would be appreciated, please.

Thank you.

It's your choice, you can choose whatever you like, they're all the same.

Google security of email vs text vs mobile number etc, and then make up your mind.

I have five email accounts (don't ask) and they're the recover email for each other.
