Blue screen

Some people choose not to update drivers without researching them first. Microsoft classify optional updates as anything that's not a bug fix or a security fix...
At least I know from now to carry on doing that. Is it possible that my M2 could have caused my blue screens even though the dumps where pointing to the graphics card?

Yes, others have had strange errors caused by a badly seated M.2 drive. It sounds weird to me too!

Yeah suppose anything’s worth trying! I assume with a badly seated M2 you could go months without blue screening as I have then just get random ones.

Strange that both the Windows and Realtek drivers are needed as my system doesn't have the WIndows one (as far as I can tell). In Device Manager, in the "Audio inputs and outputs", I have "Realtek Digital Output (Realtek Audio)" and "speakers (Realtek Audio)". In "Sound, Video and game controllers", I have "Realtek Audio" as well as the 2 NVIDIA audio drivers that come with the game drivers (haven't removed them as have had no issues with them).

I definitely agree that something is going wrong with the OPs install...as you noted, Realtek drivers should be there and they are missing

Just for reference, the audio side of things in Device Manager should look something like this (obviously ignoring some entries like the Arctsi entries (my headset), with Windows drivers maybe there as well...this is from a system with a 3600 CPU and a B450 motherborad

I have digital audio msi mag241c NVIDIA high definition audio and digital audio high definition audio device under audio inputs and output. Then under sound, video games controllers I have high definition audio device and the two NVIDIA ones you have

Well, it seems the number of devices is correct...excluding the monitor one, you seem to have the same number, just they all seem to be Windows Drivers rather than Realtek ones. Not sure why the difference though

BIOS version yours is different from mine as mine is dated November 2019 (I bought in January 2020) so the later BIOS and newer motherboard may explain some differences...though, AFAIK, the audio drivers come as part of the Chipset.

But, I'm not a driver/software person so whether any of this makes a difference or not is beyond me
Ah I was just gonna ask you about the chipsets. I did the amd installer again and it’s come up with the same ones I installed yesterday to be installed again. Should I completely delete the AMD folder before I redo installing the chipsets

Just deleting the folder wouldn't remove all the files as they are in more than one place I believe. If the AMD tool is showing the same as you already have, then I don't think deleting anything and redoing it would achieve much
When I went on to the installer it showed the drives I installed yesterday ticked in green asking to install again. It was the names of the same drives I installed yesterday bar one which it blacked out does that mean that only one installed and the others didn’t?

So, I just ran the Chipset Installer which showed 6 separate things ticked green...restarted after it finished, ran the installer again and it still shows 6 ticked items and, when running it again, tells me I have newer software installed. So, I think, the green tick just indiucates if there's a driver rather than whether it is going to download or not, maybe...I'll be honest, it
I ran it again and they all installed and asked me to restart. Does that mean they didn’t install yesterday?

No idea to be honest, I've never used that tool. It does sound as though newer drivers have been installed - eventually.

As to what to do next, run the Unigine benchmark tool again.

how long does that normally take to run? If it comes back clean should that be me all good?

Yeap. Bear in mind that something like Unigine will be pushing the CPU to it's limits for a sustained period of time...I would have expected higher to be honest...my CPU runs between 45-55 degrees with almost no load on it, albeit with fans on minimum.

CPUs are designed to run into the late 80s and even 90s. The maximum operating temperature for the 3600 is 95 degrees so you are fine
No worries, I’ll let it run for a few hours and see how it goes

Unigine only stresses the GPU, puts minimal load on the gpu which is why it’s quite useful as opposed to thing like fire strike that load the cpu as well.

I’ve had it running for four hours and so far no crashes. After how long would you say you can rule out a GPU issue?

Check temps of both cpu and gpu before you end it but I’d say it sounds like long enough to me.

Just want to make sure after a good gaming load that the temps aren’t skyrocketing

It was showing as 72 at the highest so looks all good. Could the optional updates I did and reseating the M2 have been the cause of the issue. Also just a random question uningine seemed to already know my email address when I downloaded it is this because it’s the Microsoft account I’m signed in with it automatically detects it?

Likely the optional updates as windows isn't configured until they're applied.

It's likely the browser set to remember your email address and autopopulates it. Either that or a password manager or something like that.
