Can you build me a pc for around 2600 pounds please :)

Hi there have made a build or two myself , but little bit complicated for me with some items, so looking for some experienced build people to give advice so i can order it soon. My budget is around 2600 , my monitor is an ultrawide 3440x1440 at 100fps , which is my main monitor , and a second 4k monitor which i just use for other windows and bits and bobs:).

I think i would like a combination of a ryzen 5800x and a rtx3080 , as i think they would not really bottleneck and i would be able to get a high frame rate at my resolution . I am just going from what i have been reading .

I would like at least 2tb of fast ssd and maybe a 512 for operating system if budget allows

and a great case that would be really good for air flow to keep things as cool as possible so they do not throttle back and reduce performance

i am connected by ethernet cable, but a wifi card is not expensive

At least 16gb of ram at a high speed as i have been reading that ryzen work better with fast ram speed

Could anyone have the time to spend my money please and explain why certain things are good . It is for gaming and maybe some streaming down the road

Thank you for reading
Regards
Lee

Thank you very much , is the case good for thermals ?

Yeah thermals should be fine, 3 fans in a large case with good flow. Then a CPU cooler with a 340mm Radiator and 3 fans your temps should be real low
thanks for your time, one last question when i wet to proceed, it said the power supply was high for what is required , should i keep it or lower it slightly ?

It's to accommodate future upgrades, there's no harm in having higher wattage, the PC will only use what it requires, it just prevents you being limited for upgrades down the line particularly with GPU.

Always a good choice. I did pretty much the same, for the same reasons. Also, of my old PC, which I decided to not upgrade piecemeal (and got the one below instead) only the PSU was still up to spec as the day I built it. Unlike the CPU, GPU etc, all left behind by the march of progress etc, even if they still work fine per se.

Anyway, better to have it and not need it...

Thank you, one last question please . I really like the look of the cooler , i see it has the icue and you can change all the fan speeds , I have read it comes as a balanced profile out the box , Would this be ok to leave on this setting and it would give good enough cooling, so i would not lose much performance . Just a little bit confused with all the fan speeds ?

balanced will be fine, its purely a personal thing of noise vs cooling, just have a play and see what works best for you.

You'll be ok, once you get into it and try things out fan curves and iCue set up are pretty straightforward, it's just that initial worry re new things, we've all been there. There'll be some guides online too. Fwiw with the above configs CPU and cooler you'll be plenty cool enough just sticking with balanced and even down to quiet tbh. My set up (below) does fine with the next size cooler down and a hotter CPU with AiO (and all fans) on quiet mode, 60-70C averages on both CPU/GPU in any AAA game so far.

For another £18, upgrading to the 1000w PSU might be a sensible move. It'll allow any future GPU to slot in there without fear of exceeding the power threshold.

And also keep an eye open for the H150i Elite coming back into stock and doing a cheeky upgrade when it appears back on the configurator, it's the latest model and you'll get more funky RGB on the fans. That'll be around an extra £20 but well worth it.

Curious...What's the diff between the ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING and the TUF X570-PLUS GAMING?
The Strix is a higher quality board built with better circuitry and has better VRM support so is more capable with higher rate CPU's.

It has better USB support among other things. Like with anything you get tiers of products. The Tuf is Asus's mid range, Strix is their high end.

thank you , have made them changes , one question please, the extra fans i ordered , do you think i actually need them for thermals , or could the cost of them be better spent ?
