hi

ive tried virtually everything i can think of - regardless i am not able to turn the RGB lights off on motherboard.

What ive tried:
- disabling in BIOS
- reinstall armoury crate and edit settings / turn to dark
- reinstall windows 10 / armoury
- reinstall windows 11 / armoury
- update to latest BIOS and try again

they are perm set to colour cycle and its driving me up the wall - any suggestions really appreciated. Ive looked at the thread in sticky also and that hasnt helped

Do you want them off all the time or just when the PC is off?

Have you adjusted these BIOS settings?

Look for a setting that says ROG Effects under the Advanced menu option. Click on Onboard LED, then select Disable, and the RGB on your motherboard will shut off with your computer.

It should disable the RGB when the PC is off, that's all it does.

To turn them off when it's on, you'd need to use Armory Crate.

Can you take a screenshot of your armory crate aura sync settings?

same box pops up with same options:

ie just below the f4 text
That's really weird.

All I can think is that it's on a really old BIOS that's buggy.

If you're still inside warranty, give PCS a call and ask them if you can update your BIOS to the latest version.

If you're outside of warranty, you can just update the BIOS to the latest version from here:

hi thanks all - now resolved. Support from pcspecialist helped address the issue - iCUE software for corsair controls the lighting - not Aura/armoury crate it appears, even though both software shows RGB devices connected. iCue managed to set a dark profile so all good now.

I didnt even know there was iCue software and this was needed, i think it was originally installed in factory build, however in a complete rebuild as all the base software got deleted, somehow lost the installer.

If you're talking about the Aura on the MB, I'm pretty sure you can set that in the BIOS?
If its the same as what I had with my strix motherboard, then its a case of enabling S3 and S4 power modes in BIOS, I think it called it stealth mode... but it was a different menu option to whats in the pics above. Id have to go back in and check what it was called/which menu options in BIOS but using my PC atm.
