Hello,
I am looking at building a new PC for gaming. This is what I am currently going for: My budget is £2k - £2.5k.
Case - PCS SPECTRUM G ARGB MID TOWER CASE
Processor (CPU) - Intel® CoreTM i7 16-Core Processor i7-13700KF (3.4GHz) 30MB Cache
Motherboard - ASUS® ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI (LGA1700, USB 3.2, PCIe 5.0) -ARGB Ready
Memory - (RAM) 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card - 10GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 - HDMI, DP, LHR
Graphics Card Support Bracket - PCS GRAPHICS CARD SUPPORT BRACKET
1st M.2 SSD Drive - 500GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R,3200MB/W)
1st Storage Drive 2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 256MB
Memory Card Reader - USB 3.0 EXTERNAL SD/MICRO SD CARD READER
Power Supply - CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIESTM MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Power Cable - 1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling - PCS FrostFlow 200 Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Thermal Paste - ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND
Extra Case Fans - 2x 120mm Black Case Fan
Sound Card - ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card - 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT
USB/Thunderbolt Options - 2 PORT (2 x TYPE A) USB 3.1 PCI-E CARD + STANDARD USB PORTS
Operating System - Windows 11 Home 64 Bit - inc. Single Licence [KUK-00003]
Operating System - Language United Kingdom - English Language
Windows Recovery Media - Windows 11 Multi-Language Recovery Image - Supplied on USB Drive
The motherboard I was originally looking at was the ASUS Prime Z790-P - but this is on pre-order only. I think I prefer the gaming one - a bit more pricey but I think its worth it. The only concern I have is would I need a sound card for this build? Or would I be able to play sound through speakers?
Would you tweak anything else from this build? or add / remove parts? I have added the quote from PC Specialist if you would like to look at that in addition!
I am looking for a solid PC (mostly for gaming) for at least the next 4-5 years+.
Thank you for your help! Happy New Year!
