Poor fan speed profiles / control. Tips for quieter gaming?

I got my 17.3" Elimina earlier this year when ill health had me bed bound. (I7 13620H, 32GB, RTX 4070, 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 ).

I over spec'ed my build so that It never had to work hard, but I'm running into issues where I have a 'dead zone' of performance, where the fans don't kick on and the keyboard gets hot, but the next profile in the control centre makes them scream and it feels to be over-working.

annoyingly, I've observed them running at low speed on the 'Entertainment' profile, and it seems to kick out the stagnating hot air well enough, but even under low load it starts screaming and blowing out ice cold air..

Control panel also seems to show weird temperatures - on the quiet mode I get 65C when gaming (Factorio etc) but the keyboard gets hot after 15mins or so. putting it on 'Entertainment' will make the fans spin up to 100% and then it tells me I'm at 98C.
After 2 mins or so they spin down to 50% or so, and my temp reads 75C-ish, but the keyboard becomes acceptably cool, and the vents blow cool enough that I'm happy.

When I stop gaming, they drop down to (what sounds like) 5% ish, and i can hear my TV again. I have to game for a while to get them back on on that profile, but temps never get high - like theyre reacting to a temp that I cant see, and not reacting the temp i can physically feel.

Is there any way I can set a max fan speed or custom profile? or have a constant min when I'm on the quiet mode?
It would be really nice to have a more usable experience with this laptop without requiring headphones..

Other than that (for anyone thinking of getting one) the thing is spot on performance wise. keyboard layout is taking some getting used to, and its hard to tell sometimes if its decided to power on from pressing the button, but the screen quality is awesome, and it holds charge really well.

Can you post the full specs from your orders page? Is it a Clevo or TongFang?

You should be able to customise fans, profiles, PLs, and so on through the Master Driver/Control Center.

It's normally written on the back of the laptop, along with the model and serial number.

Anyway, it should be a Clevo, and I'm not very familiar with its Control Centre.
I'd suggest waiting for someone who truly owns a Clevo to provide accurate advice.
Cheers. It does look most similar to the stuff on the Clevo website.
I'll confirm once I'm home.

Fingers crossed someone knows!
