I'm under the impression that the wifi extender can either boost the 5ghz or 2.4ghz signal and the ethernet cable then takes that signal from the extender to the computer. Am I completely wrong in that assumption?
I have just done a factory reset of the router, ensured that it is boosting the 5ghz signal rather than the 2.4ghz signal yet I am still being told that the ethernet connection is to the 2ghz version of the network rather than the 5ghz version.
