I think I said this already a few pages back but when I spoke to PCS last week they said they have 2 deliveries scheduled for this month of the 5900x (if that's the one you care about). I'm on Day 39 and still waiting for mine.... I was lucky enough to get a 3090 GPU when they were in-stock.

The original poster sounds like a really nice and well-intentioned parent lol :love: My parents never would have let me get a gaming PC when I was a kid - but I managed to get a PlayStation eventually. I had to get a well-paid job before I could even consider getting a PC and now I'm waiting...

Is the 10900K as good a chip as the 5900x? Any real downsides other than price?

Spoke to PCS today and there are TWO 5900x deliveries scheduled for the remainder of February - in the 3rd and 4th week.

What the hell?! I'm on day 37 and I was told it'd be at most a couple more weeks of wait for the 5900x when I called PCS?!

Maybe I should have stuck to Intel but I was persuaded by the handsome know-it-alls on this forum to switch over to AMD!

I have the 3090 and my build has had one allocated already - I'm on Day 33 with only the Ryzen 5090x CPU left pending - hopefully another 2 weeks of waiting and then it'll enter build.... Glad I switched to the 3090 when I did as waiting for the 3080 feels like a dead-end IMO

I need to be able to support you so once I get my build delivered and plugged in, I can think about starting a new relationship, but you need to let me spend all my time gaming on my new rig and be understanding.
