    PCSPECIALIST Bluetooth Wake Settings

Thanks for your thoughts. I was using a Logitech keyboard connected to a unifying receiver previously. A key press would always wake the PC without fail. Unfortunately, I just can't achieve the same with my new Microsoft Surface keyboard connected directly to the PC's Bluetooth.

    PCSPECIALIST Bluetooth Wake Settings

Thanks for the reply. The setting you refer to was on by default. I have tried unticking it. It does not enable the greyed out box or allow me to wake the machine using the keyboard. Can you clarify what you mean by “Bear in mind you have to have sleep / hibernation enabled to be able to wake...

    PCSPECIALIST Bluetooth Wake Settings

I have a new keyboard which I have connected to my PC’s Bluetooth for the first time. It is working fine other than I’m unable to wake the PC by pressing a keyboard key. Is anyone able to help resolve this? I would like to wake the PC by using my keyboard. The keyboard power settings in Device...

PCSPECIALIST Device Security Settings Missing - Windows 11

Hi Does anyone know why Core Isolation/ Memory Integrity are missing from my Device Security settings? I installed Windows 11 this afternoon and I'm confused as to why these settings are missing. My PC passed the Windows 11 Health Check prior to installation and I'm using an AMD 3900x...

    PCSPECIALIST Intermittent Buzzing from PC

Hi, I have another bit of info that hopefully may help with diagnosis... The buzzing I have been experience has been quite bad at times and has been irritating me greatly. However, I have found that if I shut my PC down after use, it is completely fine the next time I turn it on. The buzzing...

    PCSPECIALIST Intermittent Buzzing from PC

I didn't check the PSU fan reliably as I can't see it through the case. However, the PC is whisper quiet so I'm guessing not. As we've said before, this happens without any significant load at all. I only had a browser with one tab open. Perhaps the fact the PC is so nice and quiet is why the...

    PCSPECIALIST Intermittent Buzzing from PC

Hi, My PC is buzzing again as I scroll through pages. It is cold at the moment. I tried plugging a wired mouse directly into a front USB port on the PC. Unfortunately the buzzing with each click of the scroll wheel was exactly the same. I've tried recording the noise but strangely the mic...

    PCSPECIALIST Intermittent Buzzing from PC

Thank you very much for your reply. I have a Logitech Mouse and Keyboard wirelessly connected to their unifier dongle. The unifier is plugged into a USB hub (connected at the rear) rather than being connected directly to the PC. The noise hasn't occurred since receiving your suggestion. I will...

    PCSPECIALIST Intermittent Buzzing from PC

Hi, I am getting some very odd and irritating buzzing from my desktop PC. The PC is nice and quiet at idol. However, when I scroll through a web page it makes a buzzing noise as the page moves. This happens for the duration of the mouse scroll wheel turn or a page movement if I use the up or...

PCSPECIALIST Please help with Power Supply Requirement

Thanks, very useful. Would you also recommend against keeping my existing cables if I stick to the same brand of PSU? I've asked Corsair but I haven't managed to get any sense out of them so far.

PCSPECIALIST Please help with Power Supply Requirement

Based on your advice about my power supply not being sufficient for the graphics card, I'm thinking of upgrading to a 1000w model. I have three questions: 1) I know this is overkill for my system and the new cards. However, a decent PSU should last for many years and a 1000w should give enough...

PCSPECIALIST Are the latest graphics card compatible with 1440p monitors?

I don't want to limit myself to this monitor though. I was hoping the XT would work well with my existing monitor and a 4K monitor if I were to upgrade in the future. Looks like that's not the case if I would be forced to use Vsync with my existing monitor.

PCSPECIALIST Are the latest graphics card compatible with 1440p monitors?

It would offer raytracing though which the 5700Xt doesn't have. Thanks for your thoughts and advice. It's been a pleasure chatting to you.

PCSPECIALIST Are the latest graphics card compatible with 1440p monitors?

So my original premise stands, these cards work best with 4K monitors and would be a compromise on 1440p due to their speed?

PCSPECIALIST Are the latest graphics card compatible with 1440p monitors?

Do you think Vsync at 165Hz with the 6800XT would be superior to a variable refresh rate with Freesync using a 5700xt?
