4gb nvidia geforce gtx 970 flickering while in games!

Okay, so i got my pc new a few days ago and i've just install windows 8.1 and updated everything i mean everything but when i go to play games the screen flickers like this....[video=youtube;dAujEj4Fgxg]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAujEj4Fgxg[/video]

Graphics Card 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 - 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DP - 3D Vision Ready

That must be a bit irritating!

What monitor are you using? What type of connector (HDMI, DP, DVI)? You could try a different cable?

Does the flickering occur when doing anything else? Have you tried running a benchmark to see if the issue occurs then as well? It's not obvious to me from the video if its only visible in the 'dark' areas of the screen. Does it occur for all games?

I'm using a Male DVI to female vga adapter which came with the PC... the screen and wire should be fine they worked fine on my old pc, and no i havent attempted to benchmark can you give me any good bench marking software to use?

3D mark is a good benchmark, only trying to determine if the issue is likely to be the GPU or not really.

Its probably worth checking what frequency you're outputting too against what your monitor is capable of (its in display settings)

What monitor are you using (and the other questions I asked before :))

I'm using the LG 22EN33 and it only seems to flicker in games like CS:GO and ARMA but is fine when playing league of legends... :/
