5800x stock

I've been waiting for my RTX 3070 5800x build for 43 working days and am still in preproduction. I've seen multiple people on the forum say that the stock levels the 5800x are relatively good so i assumed However in the 3070 forum people are recently claiming to go in build in 7, 6 and 4 working days with the 5600x. I'm pretty desperate to get my PC, if switch my CPU is it likely I will go into building?

i would imagine the 5600x people are going into builds without the 3070 card also i have seen many people get confused with the pre production and actual build stage order there just no way someone who ordered a 5600x 3070 or 3060ti went into build on day 7 6 and 4 working days so would take there comments with a pinch of salt if your concerned over the status of your order may be worth sending them a email enquiring into it with your order number attached be quicker to ring them but can be a long wait on phone lines tho I've heard the waiting times are a lot better as they have a recruitment drive in staff

Just call and ask what's holding your build up rather than changing to lesser components that may not be impacting the build?

rtx 3070 sales preference according to upgrade / build ?

So I bought my rtx 3070 29/10 @ 13:15 (surely must have been one of the first) and still waiting for it. It's an upgrade to my existing build. Does PCS give preference to new builds or is it literally first on the ordering list? I just spoke to them and said can't say even if I'll get it this year!?

spydertracks has the right approach ring them up and ask them may be your case is out of stock or waiting on a certain component i still don't believe the posts in that thread the old saying " if it sounds to good to be true "

If you go to the 5600X, your cooler is complete overkill (not necessarily a bad thing), i would honestly just wait it out, it won’t be long now. 3070 is what is holding you up, but loads of them entered the country a few days ago, after nothing for like 2-3 weeks.

surely if the 3070 was holding me up people would not be going into build in 4 working days with one while i'm on 43 working days?

There’s not stock issues with 5800X, you can buy them off the shelf (i literally did). I just can’t see the 5800X being the thing holding you up.

I received a follow up email on Saturday saying the build team replied and everything was in stock so it would go into build shortly, but still not gone into build :(

i would imagine your in the queue to go into build as sunday isnt a working day may be worth giving them another ring or email just to be sure
