6500 euro budget monitor included

Hi there.
I made a thread a while back about getting a PC as I was aiming to get it at the end of this year but circumstances have changed and I'll have the money much sooner.
The start of April I will be purchasing.
So I don't have a monitor and I'm looking to get one. I'm thinking of maybe getting an UltraWide instead of getting 3 monitors - one of these specifically > https://www.amazon.de/ASUS-ROG-Swift-OLED-PG49WCD/dp/B0CMQK3QB8
The budget is 6500 euro so the monitor would also be included in that.
I'll be playing GTA 5/FIFA/COD/Fortnite etc.
I want a beast of a PC of course and to use all of my budget.
I'd prefer an AMD build as I've heard they are much better nowadays.
I'd like the Windows 11 to be on a SAMSUNG 990 PRO SERIES 2TB + SAMSUNG 990 PRO SERIES 4TB for my games/pictures/videos etc.
I'd also like 6000MHz RAM
I'll be streaming/video editing/photoshop/daily use/watching movies/youtube/etc.
Also the 2.5GB ethernet port.
Please make the configuration on the Ireland website also.
Thanks in advance.

What sort of level of video editing are you looking at? Is it hobbyist or are you looking at something a bit more serious.

The main consideration is going to be the 7950X3D or the 7800X3D.

With the 7950X3D you get more processing grunt but more of a gaming configuration headache.
With the 7800X3D configuration isn't an issue but it won't be as powerful for processing.

I think the 7800X3D seems the most sensible choice, there won't be anything in it in gaming for you to notice but all depends on your intended level of use.

The budget is certainly there to have it all, so you will have an absolute monster build for sure.

The video editing is just for hobby as you said.
It'd be more for gaming really if I'm being honest.
I'm not sure which one to pick as you'd know better.

That's a beast alright haha.
Could the SSDs that I mentioned be put in instead or what do you think?
Also it says delivery to Germany but I'm in Ireland and how do I get it onto the PCS Ireland website?
Thank you very much for your help.

Ahh apologies. The German amazon links threw me off.

I wouldn't recommend the Samsung drives. They aren't the best in all honesty. My thinking with the below is:

512GB primary - Windows 11 & softwares
1TB Secondary - Fast storage & Cache for video editing etc
4TB Games drive - Games storage and anything else you want to keep on there.

The brands I have chosen is the way I would go from the configurator personally. Both the SolidGM & Corsair offer fantastic reliability and performance.

Yeah I use Amazon Germany as I'm in the EU and I'd be charged customs otherwise.
I'll go with the SSDs that you picked then.
As I said the start of April I will be purchasing so I'll come back to this thread right before I order so you can double check if anything needs to be changed.
Thanks again for your help.

Proart is massive overkill but it was the neatest solution for the case usb etc.

Makes it good for anything. I have one myself and I'm still gritting my teeth over the price 😆

Hi @Scott.
I've been thinking and I'd like to change the 512GB SSD for the 1TB version instead just to have the extra storage.
I'd also like to change the RAM to 64GB 6000MHz if possible. If it's not compatible that's fine.
If you could please change the configuration on the Ireland website it would be much appreciated.

If you click the link I posted you can change anything you want to. I wouldn't recommend the 1TB for the extra storage, as you don't' want to use this drive for storage. You want to keep it as trim as you can. The only time I would get a larger drive would be if they were significantly faster than the smaller one. A typical windows installation is around 80GB, the programs installed wouldn't typically be anywhere near that so it keeps you well inside the 250gb threshold for maximum performance. Having 1TB means you would loose 500GB of useable space which is quite wasteful IMO.

With the RAM, the Asus boards aren't available with 6000Mhz of 64GB RAM, no idea why not. Regardless though, 64GB would be wasteful for your uses and would potentially be more problematic as it's more of a strain on the system. 32Gb is the sweet spot for gaming, it's way above what's required just now but it has you covered nicely for content creation etc.

Totally up to yourself though so feel free to tweak the build as you want :)

I’ll stick with the build you made then.
I’ll post into this thread right before I purchase so you can check over everything.
Thanks for all your help again.

The biggest difference between sizes of SSD is the number of NAND flash chips on the drive. There are (perhaps unsurprisingly) double the number on the 1TB vs the 512GB drives. On the smaller drive, the fewer chips means less parallel actions can take place, which reduces speed, and wear levelling will have less space to use, so the drive's endurance/theoretical lifespan is less. But these are advantages that live mainly in the world of theory: if you aren't going to use more than 250GB of space on your boot drive, you will see no real-world difference in performance.

tl;dr, 512GB is plenty for a dedicated boot drive.

I would opt for the top with that setup as it is. It'll draw the warm air from the GPU out. The CPU will easily be handled so no need to worry about soak.

Hi @Scott.
Would I have any problems if I changed the cooler to the CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT RGB CPU Cooler (280W TDP)?
If the one you had picked > CORSAIR ICUE LINK H150i RGB HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER is better then just let me know.
Thanks in advance.

The iLink is the newer version with less wiring (the LINK bit is the new connection method between fans, so you only need 1 wire instead of 3).

The LCD version still has all the wires and just adds an LCD screen on top of the pump head for more bling.

Performance will be the same.
