A couple of software issues with my new Cosmos (?)

Hey all
I received my new custom Cosmos laptop about a month ago now, and have to say I am really really impressed with everything, no issues whatsoever and very pleased with both build quality and speed. However, I have a couple of, I'm assuming, software issues I was wondering anyone could help me with? I don't claim to be overly technologically gifted, so I may well be missing an obvious solution, but any help would be appreciated!:whistling:

Gripe 1:
When I plug my headphones into the headphone audio jack, I have to manually select that the used playback device is my headphones by setting it as my default device. I'm wondering if there's a way that I can make it automatically switch to headphones as my sound output when I plug them in?

Gripe 2:
As a vain guy (Well, not really, but still it'd be a nice feature to have!) I'd occasionally like to be able to use my webcam and inbuilt mic. So far, I have no idea how to do so! I have a shortcut on my desktop called "WebCam installer 4.041", which sounds promising doesn't it! Except when I click on it, I get the error message of "IO exception could not find part of the path C:\Program Files (x86)\ChiconyCam. Oh mighty internet, do you have any solutions for me? Am I being blonde or naive or am I justified in my confusion!

Gripe 1: this is a common issue, try reinstalling your graphics drivers (EDIT, should read AUDIO, sorry!), that usually (if not always) rectifies it.

Gripe 2: Web cam and mic should already be installed unless you installed the OS already? Have you enabled the webcam (somewhere there should be a function key to enable/disable it?

I've clicked Fn+F10 (which has a little picture of a camera on it) and when I click the desktop shortcut the error message now reads "No camera device"
Not sure if this is the function key to enable the webcam, but it's my best guess! Still none the wiser. And my OS was installed on my laptop by PCSpecialist

Hmmm... are your other hotkeys working, like dimming screen, volume etc?

Absolutely, all others working A-OK. I've installed third party software (ManyCam) and works absolutely fine, can take pictures and video perfectly, so I *guess* my problem is solved as I can use the camera absolutely fine. Just a bit odd that the webcam installer that came with the laptop isn't working!
But, as I say, I can use it so I'm guessing it's not an issue for me now! Thanks for the help Spyder :)
