A Sad, Sad Day...

Oh how I looked forward to being a pcspecialist customer. Oh how the countless days spent researching and carefully crafting the perfect pc seemed to merge. Asking questions, watching hours of reviews, even fighting temptation to just buy and hold out for Ivybridge.
Today was the day I went to buy my new pc, I excitedly checked the configuration, entered details and put myself at the mercy of Hitachi Finance.

DECLINED
:censored:

I feel like my movie wife has passed in a horrific manner. I enter the room, dropping to me knees. I hold her in my arms, look up at the camera red faced screaming Nooo!

But little do Hitachi know, I am the hero of this saga...

...and I shall have my computer no matter what you say!!!

Sorry to hear that.

To be fair though I would avoid paying for anything other than a car or a house with finance.

What sort of system were you looking to build?

Ha I'm kinda glad that I didn't get accepted for finance as I'll still get it but save a lot!

It was...off the top of my head...
i7 3770k
asus p8z77-v
Nvidea GTX 680
coolit fatboy
Kingston 16gb 160omhz RAM
120gb ssd + 2tb hdd
CM Storm Trooper case
850watt psu
23" asus ips monitor + 27" illyama monitor

just for some heavy gaming, video editing (I make music videos) Adobe Creative suite heavily used!
Cannot wait to smash up a review and some pics WHEN I GET IT! hitatchi just delayed me!

Very nice spec indeed.

From experience purchasing the system through finance may result in you receiving the product earlier, however you may end up loathing your decision.

I cannot comment on PCS finance options, but as an example I purchased a laptop in 2003 for £1299 on a 4 year finance option at 15% APR. Ultimately the system ended up costing me over £2100, of which the remaining £1000 was paid after the systems value had depreciated to around £300.

I personally enjoy the anticipation of a product you are saving for, it makes the work you put into obtaining it and the satisfaction of using it for the first time that much more meaningful.

I totally agree with you dangro474, besides in the couple of months it will take to save I'm sure there will be something new out and much better for me!
